Landscapes
I’ve always been inspired by the wide-open Northern Plains, and I’ve been exploring how to capture the vast spaces and dramatic skies in watercolor and gouache.
Old houses and abandoned buildings hold a special place in my heart. I’m fascinated by the point in time when the outside–so long held at bay by the structure–begins to creep inside.

House Portraits
I’m also accepting commissions from folks who want to celebrate their beloved homes. Contact me if you are interested.

Florals
I was that artist who never wanted to paint flowers. Then I took part in a “Painting-A-Day” challenge, and quickly ran out of subject matter. “Learning-by-doing” has been a powerful tool in my development, even though it’s meant lots of trial and even more error.
